EN07 Day 2-21 July 2007

Woke up by my roommate Anthony at abt 8plus..he and a few of the Malaysian delegates planned to visit OMF to get some books (here in Manila, books is really cheap)...but for me, I have no plans to get anymore books until I finish some 10 odd books I have at home..still lots to catch up : )

As I prepare to go get my breakfast, I met up with Calvin at the lobby...he is waiting for another group of people intending to go to OMF also. So I figure, why not just join along. Wait, wait, 15minutes gone...something is not right...he check and found out they have left without him (I won't mention name here..hehe)...but he was slightly a bit late also : p...so, he and myself went for breakfast and window shop at Farmer's Plaza (we saw a gun shop, wanted to see wht they sell, Malaysia don't have mah but it appears they only sell bullets)

Around noon, we get ready to enter the Colisuem. It is Day 2 of EN07. Awesome...1st day was full. Full of God's people, full of His word, full of His presence. Talk abt full, I was slightly a bit late and the "usual" place where I sit was taken up and the place was full : p

Bishop Ef Tendero shared on "Power To Be Witness". I can only sum up with 3 points here. His word is awesome.
Why should everyone witness?
1) To obey the Executive Order of the father
2) To present the exclusive offer of Jesus Christ
3) To experience the Explosive Power of the Holy Spirit

Later, Lynette Lewis took over and share about "Power To Engage". She shared a great word. Sometimes we can share the word or preach, but if we do not "engage" the soul and spirit of a person, we will not be able to reach them.

The nite session started off with beautiful colours and cultures. Most of us come in our "national costume". It is a representation of who we are in our nation. I wore a batik. (This is like my 2nd time wearing it, hehe, my picture was at everynation website, how cool. I will put it here)

One of the highlight I enjoy most is when different nationalities is represented on stage, some prayed and some sang. It was beautiful

The nite session started with Pastor LA Mumar. He spoke about "Who's Next?". His message is simple. Reaching the next generation. God works and think generational.

The nite's last speaker is Pastor Rice Broocks. His message "To The Ends Of The Earth" talks about the obstacles in the past, the opportunities then. He mentioned about the promise of God and 2000 years later, what is the church challenges today. "How far are you willing to go?"

As we end the nite, we end it loud, praising Jesus for about 5 minutes...it drag for about 10minutes or 15minutes...it was awesome. As the praise slowed down, another group will start loud praise, then it continue again and again and again. Wow, just think about it, when the church of God is like that...one group after another keep the momentum going in evangelism, worship, marketplace, families...we will reach the ends of the earth and finish strong.

EN07 Day 1-20 July 2007

Its finally here, the World Conference that everybody is talking about. Its the Every Nation World Conference 2007. Yahoo : )

Started the morning with a 1 hour trip from Conrad's house to Eurotel Hotel, the "official" Malaysian delegate accomodation for the next 3-4 days. (Thanks again to Conrad for this fantastic arrangement. 5 minutes walk to the Araneta Colisuem, love it).

After checking in, change of clothing, its out for lunch at Gateway Mall. Had Jolibee for lunch, my 2nd time trying it : ) The entrance to the conference open at 12noon and the crowd slowly start pouring in. The atmosphere is awesome and fantastic. Seeing so many people coming from "Every Nation" gathering in one place is just so beautiful. The session started with opening ceremony, praise & worship.

Pastor Jim Laffoon took the 1st sharing with a powerful word, "Becoming Bread To The World". I love the word. He talks about it is time we moved from spiritual family ties to the battle bonds. He shared from the book of Judges, where Gideon blew the trumpet to the family & relatives not for a gathering but to take arms to fight.

The 2nd sharing is by Pastor Martin Ssempa. He talks abt "Mission Him Possible". This is one electrifying pastor, great word, great communicator of His word. He challenged the church to be radical, to bring revolution. He mentioned that the altar that prevails is the altar that will rule. He says the church in many ways is a movement which has now become a monument. We need Revolution.

From 5-6pm, its a short break for dinner and rest. Food was served inside the Colisuem, from Pizza to fries and drinks. I stayed back because I wanted to catch the half time show, Wii Boxing Championship.

Its hilarious to see pastors competing in a game of Nintendo Wii boxing. How cool is that for a half time show : ) Guess who co-host the game, MTV VJ, Donita Rose, awesome : )

We continued on with the nite session from 7pm till 9pm. Hearing thousands praising our God, giving Him all the glory and honour is spectacular.

Pastor Daniel Stephens shared a simple yet a great reminder word to all of us. It speaks to me. "Go For His Face, Not Just His Hand". How many times we only wanted provision and blessings that we miss the whole presence of God. He gave us Himself.

After the session, we left and headed back to our hotel room to rest. I enjoyed the first day of conference. The word, worship, fellowship, encouragement, meeting up with old friends and making new friends, it is one amazing day.

Pre-EN07

Sleep? What sleep?...came back from Corporate Intercession on Tuesday nite (17th), continue packing my stuff for next morning flight to Manila, yahoo : ) only manage to catch 2 hours of rest before getting up at 3:15am...yes, my flight is at 7:45am. Need to be at LCCT at 5:45am latest.

Left Shah Alam at 3:30am and shoot straight to my churchmate's house in Puchong. We book airport MPV to LCCT at 4am and it came on time, wow : )

Reach LCCT abt 5am, check in, settled down and grab McD bfast of all food : p...but hey, someone mentioned the lcct nasi lemak is not good. 6 of us settled down and waited for the time to pass ...gosh, such long wait...one of Pastor's kid keep saying the nasi lemak inside the plane is so good. So I too was caught up in the whole anticipation for the bfast to be served during the flight : p haha
(note: Air Asia nasi lemak is good, no doubt abt it : p)

Touch down at Clarks Airport at abt 11:20am(estimated 2 hours drive to Manila)...tried to sleep throughout the whole journey but well, u know, how much can you sleep inside the plane. Someone came and pick us up from the airport and drove us to our respective destination.
(Here I got to mention that Conrad, our dear friend from the Philippine has help us so much in arranging accommodation and transportation for us Malaysian delegates, appreciate it a lot bro if you are reading this)
For me, Frank, Cecilia, Pastor Tim, Joel & Joash, we stayed with Conrad. It was amazing. I enjoyed the fellowship and fun(I tried karaoke, my first time. Imagine that, outside of Malaysia, haha)

Its really great to be able to catch up with friends, especially from another nation. I enjoyed my stay with Conrad, Lolit & family. I tried and challenged my taste bud to local dishes like boneless bangus, sisig and deep fried banana with caramel sugar : )

That nite's sleep was one of the the best sleep I had in a long long time : ) so tired, so full of local dishes...sleep is the best thing that came to my mind...zzzz

Next morning, travel to SM Mall of Asia,
largest mall in the Philippines and the 7th largest in the world. It's shopper's paradise and of course our legs worse enemy : p

So, there you have it. My mini holiday. Simple, nice and meaningful. When you spent your holiday with close friends or with family, remember, it is the people that makes the journey and holiday fun, not the places or dishes : )

Till my next post. Enjoy your mini holiday every weekend : )

To The Ends Of The Earth

14, 026+ men, women and children from 45+ nations. Awesome, that is the estimated number of participants for this year EN07 aka Every Nation World Conference from 20-22 July 2007

This is the first time we are having it in Asia. This is also my first time attending it and we have abt 90+ delegates from Malaysia (KL, Penang & Damansara Church). It was awesome.

This year's theme for EN07 is "To The Ends Of The Earth". It is from Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

I will share more in my next post on the day to day activities for EN07 and my "mini holiday", 2 days before the conference.

SOLD OUT...

Yes, finally I got my hand on the Sold Out CD and DVD..put it on the car stereo, love every songs...watch the DVD at home, love every part of it...

the 2 nites concert on the 28th and 29th is awesome, powerful, God encountering, challenging, life changing but most of all, humbling experience...why?...to allow God almighty, the great God to use us in His plan to spread a call to this generation, to use the meekness in us, to use the small little faith we have, the energy, the focus to bring about His glory to this generation and nation...

I was helping out the deco team and well, helping out in anyway I can before and during the concert, it shows me one thing...we are family, there will be time of frustration, scolding, maybe shouting...but we still grow together, love each other, and always, always focus on honoring God, establishing His house and advancing His kingdom...who are we?...who are all this unsung heroes? we are ECFers : )

so, what happens after the concert? after all the taking down of deco? after the sales of t-shirts and CDs?...its time to live a Sold Out life...

That "little" problem...

Its out...at long last its out...that small and painful left in growth toe nail is out on the 24th April 2007...started with 2 painful local injection to the left toe...Arghhh...after that, 10 min for the doc to cut and take out the 1/3 or small part of left toe nail...gross..ok, I will not post any picture here, some will faint when they see it : p

wht I want to share here is this, in life, there is that small "little" problem...or small "little" bad habit, small "little" sin that stays with you until YOU DECIDE what to do with it...such is that "little" thingy in you will destroy your destiny, destroy your purpose and future...

so, is there any "little" thingy in your life that you know that need to be taken out? pray and ask for help...seek counselling, seek God, seek help before that "little" problem becomes HUGE...

Does God lead?

Abt a week ago, I was scheduled to go for a minor outpatient surgery on my left toe nail. I need to look and ask for help in driving me to the clinic and back to home..it involves removing my whole toe nail..ouch

As I was thinking who can drive me around, the name Alicia Lim came to mind, why?..well, she is not working yet so basically she is available to drive me around : )..she informed her husband, Adrian Lee..whom I also know and was once housemates before he decided to settled down : p

He STRONGLY against me going to that particular clinic to have my toe nail surgery saying that clinic got serious problem cause he and Alicia encounter lots and lots of issues there..

I prayed abt it and felt God's prompting that He will lead me and He has led me..if not how would I know that that clinic has so much problem..I knew what to do next, skip the whole appointment with that doctor and go for 2nd opinion at SJMC..guess wht, no need to remove toe nail..awesome..

God still leads today just as how He has led so many people, if only we are sensitive to His voice..

Are you hearing Him today?
